I love this statue, it's in the crypt of Winchester Cathedral (by the brilliant Antony Gormley) and fits in well with today's Photo Friday theme of 'meditation'...

Amazing photo, Angie - so atmospheric. I just Googled Winchester Cathedral to find out more about it and why the crypt is flooded - fascinating! I'm in Australia so thanks for the art/history lesson.

Love this one! That crypt is something else - the arches and all the angles make it seem to go on forever, maze-like. And the statue! It's certainly very atmospheric and a good interpretation of "meditation"!
